On Dec. 8, I sustained a bad laceration on my leg from my surfboard fin while surfing at Ukumehame, and I want to thank everyone who helped me.
I wish I could remember all your names. But first, my husband, Trip, who swam me in through bloody water; the two wonderful medical guys who happened to be there with bandages and carried me out of the ocean while waiting for the ambulance; the nice lady who gave me water; and all the surfers who encouraged me.
I want to thank the ambulance emergency medical technicians for their attentive care and all the wonderful staff at Maui Memorial Medical Center - Dr. Randy Stark, Tom, RJ and the rest. I apologize if I don't remember each of your names, but I will never forget your kindnesses.
May God truly bless you all this Christmas.
