The 20-year-old gunman who tragically killed 27 children and adults has just been made another statistic for kids that we as parents created.
Kids nowadays have changed from us in the older generation who knew discipline and right from wrong. We have created a new generation of kids who know no meaning of responsibility for the actions they create.
They see no discipline, no life structure, have little social skills due to the electronic age, and sit at home and play violent video games. To many, taking out innocent people when they freak out is no big deal because they see this in their video games every day.
Even schools have no hand anymore with discipline because the parents will defend their bad behaviors and scold or threaten the school with legal action for trying to discipline their socially dysfunctional brat child.
It's only going to get worse until we come to grips with the fact that kids are kids and need to be supervised and disciplined until they're adults and stop making excuses as to why they turned out so troubled. Look in the mirror and you will find the answer, try participating in your kids' lives and know what they are doing and whom they are hanging with.
