Kahului mission to hold Joya-e
Kahului Hongwanji Mission will hold its New Year's Eve service (Joya-e) at 6 p.m. Monday.
The Rev. Ai Hironaka will officiate. After the service, attendees are invited to toll the temple bell (tsuri gane) to rid themselves of the 108 sins and to ring in the new year.
Soba and other refreshments will be provided.

Christmas celebration continues
The Good Shepherd Episcopal Church will continue Christmas celebrations until Epiphany on Jan. 6, when the church will celebrate the coming of three kings at a festive 8:30 a.m. eucharist.
Good Shepherd Church is located in old Wailuku town on the corner of Church and Main streets.
