Ignoring Sen. Inouye’s dying wish dishonorable

December 30, 2012
The Maui News

How dare you, Neil (won't call him governor any more)?

He has dishonored the wish of Sen. Daniel Inouye, his last dying wish. How inconsiderate. Is he saying that Inouye did not know what is best for Hawaii? How can he not honor this great man's last wish? Who is he?

Now, if a vote was taken for Brian Schatz or Colleen Hanabusa without Inouye's wish, I would not vote for either of them. But I took Inouye's recommendation as the best informed source we could get. Neil knows more than him? No way.

Neil appointed a man who sued his own parents, left the Mainland and got a lease for apartment at the last minute, just so he could run for office.

Neil knows nothing about Hawaiian values or about Hawaii at all. And I bet Brian knows less.

I cannot believe how he has dishonored Inouye and our state. Because of him, I feel ashamed to be from Hawaii.

I know Sen. Inouye will forgive Neil, for he is a honorable man of the highest integrity. I wish I was so humble and forgiving.
