Shawna-Lei Kuehu missed a 15-footer as time expired, and the University of Hawaii women's basketball team lost 44-43 to Alabama on Sunday in a Rainbow Wahine Invitational game at the Stan Sheriff Center in Honolulu.
Kamilah Martin had 15 points and 10 rebounds for UH (4-7). Kalei Adolpho, a Molokai High School alumnus, added two points, 10 rebounds and two blocks in 21 minutes.
The Rainbow Wahine shot 12-of-47 from the field and committed 16 turnovers.
Martin and Monica DeAngelis were named to the all-tournament team.
Jasmine Robinson scored 13 points for the Crimson Tide (10-3), and Shafontaye Myers added 10.
Hawaii will play its inaugural Big West game on Thursday at Cal State Fullerton.
