The University of Hawaii men's basketball team trailed by 11 points with just over five minutes left, but rallied for a 90-88 win over Cal State Ful-lerton on Thursday at the Stan Sheriff Center in Honolulu.
Christian Standhardinger's jump shot with 5:10 to go began the Rainbow Warriors' 21-8 run to close the game. Standhardinger sank a 3-pointer with 39 seconds remaining for an 85-84 lead, the first advantage for UH since the first minute of the second half.
Isaac Fotu scored 29 points for the 'Bows (8-5, 2-0 Big West). Standhardinger and Brandon Spearman each had 15 points and Brandon Jawato added 11, including seven in the final 4:20. Vander Joaquim had 12 rebounds.
Fotu was 13-for-16 from the field.
Kwame Vaughn scored 26 points for the Titans (7-5, 1-1), D.J. Seeley had 22 and Sammy Yeager added 15.
Hawaii will host UC Riverside on Saturday.
