After spending two weeks on Maui and receiving The Maui News, I think it very appropriate to comment. The newspaper covered national and local news very well.
However, it was the sports coverage of female athletes and teams that really caught my attention. The Mainland media does a disservice to female athletes and teams. Almost daily I was a reader of stories and viewer of action shots. It is rare to see an above-the-fold story/photo even for our regularly winning WNBA Seattle Storm.
So congratulations on truly unbiased sports reporting. Keep up the great work.
