AARP chapter to discuss goals for 2013
The South Maui Chapter of AARP will hold its monthly meeting at 10 a.m. Monday in the Garden Room of Kalama Heights, located at 101 Kanani Road in Kihei. A discussion will be held regarding the goals of the chapter for 2013.

Italian American Club plans meeting
The Italian American Club of Maui will host its first Parliamo in Italiano & Mangiare at 6 p.m. Tuesday at Giannotto's restaurant, located at 2050 Main St. in Wailuku.

Free concert series will feature Leohone
Leohone, consisting of Maui musicians Ikaika Blackburn, Kamakoa Lindsay-Asing and Piilani Arias, will provide Hawaiian entertainment at 11 a.m. Thursday during a free concert under the monkeypod tree at historic Kaahumanu Church in Wailuku.
The "Picnic for Poki" concert series is presented by Roselani Place and Ola Na Mele Productions. Attendees are invited to bring their lunch and enjoy fresh-baked cookies from Roselani Place.

Seabury Hall to have open house Saturday
Seabury Hall will hold an open house for prospective students and families from 9 to 11:30 a.m. on Saturday. Registration will start at 8:30 a.m. in Cooper House.
The school's mission and philosophy, Upper and Middle School curriculum, extracurricular programs, application and financial aid process will be presented by school administrators. Faculty will give short demonstrations in their classrooms. The morning will also include a campus tour, student presentations and refreshments. Information will also be shared about the Malone Scholarship Program, and Maunalei and Hawaiian Ancestry scholarships.

KCA plans first meeting of 2013 Tuesday
The first Kihei Community Association meeting of 2013 will take place from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Kihei Charter School.
Mahina Martin will talk about the Public Lands Development Corp., and Gene Zarro will speak about the Kihei Charter School.
The meeting will be held in Suite 4 at the school, located at 41 E. Lipoa St. Doors will open at 6 p.m. for pupu and talk story. Nonperishable food donations for the Maui Food Bank will be accepted.

Malasada sale to benefit church
Pre-sale tickets are available for St. Joseph Church's authentic Portuguese malasadas.
Mail-in order tickets for the St. Joseph's Fat Tuesday malassada sale also are available by sending a self-addressed, stamped envelope to St. Joseph Church, 1294 Makawao Ave., Makawao 96768. Along with payment of $8 per dozen, indicate pickup time. Tickets are based pickup times - hourly from 6 to 11 a.m. The malasada pickup date is Feb. 12 at the church cafeteria in Makawao.
Also tickets may be purchased from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday through Friday in the church office. The purchase price is $8 per dozen. The deadline to place an order is Jan. 28.
