Hawaii State Federal Credit Union has launched its 18th annual scholarship program.
Members and dependents of the credit union attending a university, college or trade/vocational school can apply for a $2,000 scholarship. Fifteen scholarships will be given out based on financial need, academic merit and extracurricular activities.
Since 1996, the credit union scholarship program has awarded more than $419,000 to help members pursue a higher education.
Applicants must submit an application form, along with most recent official transcripts, two letters of recommendation, a personal essay, a student aid report, and a list of personal achievements and community service participation.

Completed application packets can be mailed to Hawaii State FCU, Attn: Marketing, P.O. Box 3072, Honolulu 96802. Applications will be accepted until March 30.
