Two golfers record Wailea holes-in-one

Leann Hull of Vancouver, Wash., recorded a hole-in-one at the Wailea Gold Course on Jan. 2, and Linda Hartley of Wailea had an ace at the Old Blue on Thursday.

Hull aced the 11th hole, using an 8-iron for the 89-yard shot, which was witnessed by Jim Gillis, Larry Hull and Eric Halverson.

Hartley's shot was on the 125-yard 18th hole, with a hybrid club, and was witnessed by Dan Hartley, Brian Longwill and Mona Long.

Church golf tourney scheduled for Feb. 10

Keawala'i Congregational Church's 15th annual golf tournament is scheduled for Feb. 10 at Elleair Maui Golf Club in Kihei.

The entry fee for the four-person scramble is $95 per person, which also pays for use of a cart, food and eligibility for prizes. The entry deadline is Feb. 3, or when the field has been filled.
