March 30-The Pharmacy Group scholarship golf tournament is scheduled for March 30 at The King Kamehameha Golf Club in Wailuku, with an 8 a.m. shotgun start. Jan. 20-The Maui Oceanfront Marathon starts at 5:30 a.m. on Jan. 20, with a course beginning in Wailea, at Wailea Ike Drive, and concluding in Kamehameha Iki Park in Lahaina. The marathon will start at 4:30 a.m., the half-marathon starts at 6:30 a.m., the 15-kilometer run at 7:20 a.m. and the 5K at 8:20 a.m. Event registration and number pick-up is scheduled for 9 a.m.-1 p.m. on Jan. 18 in Kihei at 2480 S. Kihei Road, No. 28, and for 10 a.m.-5 p.m. on Jan. 19 at the Pioneer Inn in Lahaina. Information is available at mauioceanfrontmarathon.com. Contact: 874-5588.
Feb. 2-The Pacific Whale Foundation's Run and Walk for the Whales is scheduled for Feb. 2. The event will have courses covering multiple distances, runs and walks at three distances - half-marathon as well as 10 and 5 kilometers - and a 2K youth run. The courses for all distances begin and end at Makena Beach & Golf Resort. Registration can be completed online at flpregister.com/21 until 11:59 p.m. on Jan. 30. The fees for foundation members are $40 for the half marathon, $35 for the 10K, $30 for the 5K and $20 for the 2K. The fees for nonmembers are $5 more. Race-day registration will cost an additional $5. The entry fee also pays for a shirt, postrace breakfast and eligibility for prizes.
