The University of Hawaii men's basketball team remained perfect at home against Big West competition with a 60-52 victory over Pacific on Thursday at the Stan Sheriff Center in Honolulu.
Vander Joaqium had 16 points and nine rebounds for the Rainbow Warriors (10-7, 4-2), who improved to 4-0 at home against conference opponents. Ozren Pavloic added 13 points, Hauns Brereton scored 11 points and Isaac Fotu had 11 rebounds.
The 'Bows led 51-49 with 1 minute, 51 seconds left. Joaquim then hit a 3-pointer, and Hawaii sank six straight shots at the foul line over the final 41 seconds.
Sama Taku had 15 points for the Tigers (9-8, 3-2).
Hawaii will play at home against UC Davis on Saturday.
