The University of Hawaii men's volleyball team rallied Friday, but remained winless on the road this season, dropping a five-setter to Long Beach State.
Taylor Crabb, a Punahou School alumnus, had 22 kills and Connon Olbright had 41 assists as the 49ers won 25-17, 25-23, 22-25, 29-27, 16-14 in a Mountain Pacific Sports Federation match.
JP Marks had 15 kills, Sinisa Zarkovic added 14 and Davis Holt had 13 for the Warriors, who have played four consecutive five-set matches.
Joby Ramos had 49 assists for Hawaii (1-5, 0-3), which is 0-3 on the road.
Dalton Ammerman had 11 kills, five aces and 11 digs for Long Beach State (4-2, 2-1).
The teams are scheduled to play again today.
