Andie Simon of the Pukalani club of the Maui Association for Family and Community Education was recently recognized as the MAFCE outstanding member of the year.
She has served as the association's scholarship chair the past three years.
As secretary of the club, Simon sent minutes via email and notified members of upcoming events. As part of the club activities, she gave a lesson in Hawaiian.
