Cumming graduates from UH-Manoa

Harley Scott Cumming graduated with a Bachelor of Science with honors in electrical and computer engineering at the University of Hawaii at Manoa on Dec. 15. The King Kekaulike High School graduate is the son of Denise and Mike Cumming of Kula.

He was a member of Eta Kappa Nu National Honor Society for Electrical and Computer Engineering, Institute of Electronics and Electrical Engineers, National Society of Collegiate Scholars, Golden Key International Honor Society, Society for Women in Engineering, and the International Scholar Laureate Program.

As a participant in ISLP, he traveled to China to see projects including 2008 Beijing Olympic Stadium and the Three Gorges Dam. He successfully completed three tours as a co-op student engineer with Advanced Micro Devices in Austin, Texas.

While at UH, he was on the dean's list for seven semesters. He is planning to continue his education this fall, working toward a master's degree in electrical engineering.
