This is a response to a Jan. 28 letter stating that President Barack Obama's haters are a fringe on society.
First of all, hate is a pretty strong word. Perhaps the writer forgot about the concept of the First Amendment and that we have the right to call out our leaders when we don't like what they do.
The letter writer said that he was proud of his country and talked about how beloved the president is but, as typical Obama supporters do, he gave us no examples of anything this president has actually done.
All I am saying is that at some point we need to look past him being the first black president and look at what he actually has done, which isn't a whole lot at this point. That is what Martin Luther King Jr. meant when he said judge not by the color of their skin but by the content of their character.
