MIL champs get No. 4 seeds

Both of the Maui Interscholastic League boys soccer champions received No. 4 seeds in the Outrigger Hotels & Resorts State Championships brackets announced Saturday night.

Kamehameha Maui is seeded fourth in Division I and will play on Thursday in the quarterfinals at Waipio Peninsula Soccer Complex on Oahu against the winner of Wednesday's first-round game between Iolani and Campbell.

Seabury Hall, the No. 4 seed in the eight-team Division II bracket, will face Mid-Pacific in a quarterfinal Thursday.

King Kekaulike will play a D-I first-round game against Pearl City on Wednesday - the winner of that match will meet second-seeded Punahou in the quarterfinals.

Mililani will try to defend its D-I title as the top seed. Kealakehe is No. 3.

Konawaena is the top-seeded D-II team. Kapaa is No. 2 and Kalaheo is No. 3. Honokaa, which won the previous two state titles, is not in the field.
