Concession sales will help West Side Hoops
Sales by Island Fro-Yo and Cool Cat Cafe on Thursday and Friday during the Maui Interscholastic League boys basketball tournament at the Lahaina Civic Center will help raise funds for West Side Hoops, an organization that assists youth programs and the Lahainaluna High School team.
Four semifinal games are scheduled for Thursday, starting at 2:30 p.m. On Friday, the Division II tournament championship is to begin at 5:30 p.m., and the D-I tournament final is to tip off at 7 p.m.

Youth football club sets meeting, registration
The Kahului Falcons Football Club for 7th- and 8th- graders will conduct an information meeting at 7 p.m. on Thursday at Maui Waena Middle School cafeteria.
Registration will take place at the meeting, and from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. on Friday at the Maui High lower football field.

Bowling tournament scheduled for March
The 4-4 Team Invitational Bowling Tournament is scheduled for March 16-17 at Maui Bowling Center in Wailuku.
The entry fee is $70 per five-person team, and forms are available at the center. The entry deadline is March 1, or once 20 teams are registered. Earlier registration will mean a better chance to reserve desired shifts.

The Maui Elite Wrestling team is seeking financial assistance for its nine competitors scheduled to go to Nevada for the Reno World of Wrestling national tournament scheduled for April 11-15.

Chang aces No. 16 at Pukalani Country Club
Susan Chang of Edmonton, Alberta, recorded a hole-in-one at Pukalani Country Club in Jan. 28.
Chang aced the 16th hole, using a 7-wood for the 143-yard shot, which was witnessed by Thomas Reinhardt and Kevin Taplin.
