Warriors win in shootout

Chandler Alo, Micah Alo, Kainalu Kealoha and Brennah Joaquin made penalty kicks as Kamehameha Maui beat Iolani 2-1 (PKs 4-3) on Thursday in a quarterfinal of the Outrigger Hotels & Resorts Boys Soccer Division I State Championships.

King Kekaulike beat Kaiser in a D-I consolation match 1-0, and Mid-Pacific beat Seabury Hall in a D-II quarterfinal match 3-0.

The Warriors (12-2-1) tied the match in the 78th minute on an own goal.

The Raiders' Keoni Makekau scored in the 58th off an assist from Tai Tomozawa.

The match remained tied at 1-1 through the end of regulation and two overtimes.

Josh Adachi, Tristian Medios-Simon and Spencer Ho made penalty kicks for the Raiders (7-1-4).
