Thank-You Letters

February 10, 2013
The Maui News

On behalf of the Hawaii Department of Education, Maui District, we extend a special mahalo to all of the student spellers who participated in the recent district Spelling Bee! Thanks go out to their families, school bee coordinators, teachers, principals and other supporters including Maui District Superintendents Leila Hayashida and Lindsey Ball.

Thank you to Catherine Kilborn, Baldwin High School principal, for use of her facilities, and to a number of her staff and students who helped with the event. Additionally, the bee couldn't have been as successful without dedicated teachers who volunteered their time to serve as organizers, judges and technical crew. Finally, we greatly appreciate our primary sponsor, aio Foundation on Oahu, including Hervy Kurisu, Susan Eichor and Melanie Moore.

Maui District Spelling Bee coordinators,

Natalie Gonsalves and Joan Junger
