Mike Morris of Kihei recorded a hole-in-one Sunday at Pukalani Country Club.
Morris aced the eighth hole, using a 6-iron for the 154-yard shot, which was witnessed by Kirk Nelson, Martin Zeman and Rick Ortner.

Cheerleading teams to perform at Maui Mall
The Warrior Elite Allstars Cheerleading team will perform at the Maui Mall in Kahului from 12:30 to 1 p.m. on Wednesday in advance of competing in the Contest of Champions Cheer and Dance Nationals on March 3 in Florida.
Maui Pryde Tumbling and Cheer will also perform at the Maui Mall.

Scholarship golf event slated for March 16
The Maui Filipino Chamber Foundation of Commerce's annual scholarship golf tournament is scheduled for March 16 at The Dunes at Maui Lani.
The event is also seeking sponsors and donations of money, or items to be used as door prizes.

'Run Til You're Green' event set for March 17
The fifth annual St. Patrick's Day "Run Til You're Green" 3-mile race is scheduled for March 17, beginning at 5 p.m. at the Kahului Ale House.
Registration can be completed at mauirunning.com until March 9, with fees of $25 for youths 18 and under, and $35 for others. Race-day registration will be $40 for all participants, and will take place from 3:45 to 4:30 p.m., when packet pick-ups are also scheduled.

Youth basketball deadline extended
The registration deadline for the Maui NJB Spring Basketball League, for boys and girls in grades 1-8, has been extended to 9 a.m. on March 10.
Practices and games will be at Upcountry gyms. The season runs from April 1 to June 15.
