Seabury wins; Baldwin, King Kekaulike defeated

Kaleb Palmer scored 19 points and Cameron King added 15 as Seabury Hall beat University 59-56 in overtime in a quarterfinal of the Hawaiian Airlines Boys Basketball State Division II Championships on Thursday at Kalani High.

In Division I quarterfinals, Punahou beat No. 3 seed King Kekaulike 56-32 at Moanalua High, and top-seeded Maryknoll defeated Baldwin 64-54 at McKinley High.

The third-seeded Spartans (14-1) trailed 38-31 at halftime against the Jr. 'Bows (9-4). Seabury Hall outscored University 9-6 in the four-minute overtime period.

Seabury Hall will play in today's semifinals against Kailua, which beat Pahoa 47-42. Tip-off is 7 p.m. at Kaimuki High School.

Kapaa and St. Francis will meet in the other semifinal at 5 p.m.

Nick Vasquez scored 19 points and Daniel Andrews added 12 for the Buffanblu (10-4) against Na Alii (14-1).
