MIL tennis: Lunas girls doubles teams win at love

Lahainaluna beats St. Anthony 5-0

The Lahainaluna girls tennis doubles teams didn't drop a game in helping the Lunas to a 5-0 victory over St. Anthony in Maui Interscholastic League play on Saturday at War Memorial courts in Wailuku.

Joanna Aceret and Nicole Aceret of the Lunas (2-0) beat Alice Rossman and Rilee Gebermann 6-0, 6-0 at No. 1 doubles. At No. 2, Exra Baccar and Charvie Duque beat Sarah Nolette and Emily Ferreira of the Trojans (0-2) 6-0, 6-0.

Chantell Baclay and Melissa Taketa won singles matches for Lahainaluna.

6-1, 6-1 winner over Scheila Gani at No. 1 singles.

At No. 1 doubles, Na Alii's Caitlin Cole and Maddison Anderson beat Caroline Stuck and Karla Calso 6-1, 6-2.

* KING KEKAULIKE BOYS 4, LANAI 1: At Pukalani, beat Harrison Ganir 6-0, 6-0 at No. 2 singles as King Kekaulike improved its record to 2-0.

Lanai (0-2) got its win from Cody Patterson and Drevan Barfield, who outlasted Aaron Monoogan and Joshua Demotropolis 7-5, 1-6, 6-0 in the No. 1 doubles match.

* MOLOKAI BOYS 3, MAUI PREP 2: At Lahaina, a pair of doubles wins helped Molokai improved to 1-1.

The Farmers' Kamanu Pascua and Pono Chow beat Corey McMurray and Kameryn Pupunu 6-3, 6-1 at No. 1 doubles. At No. 2, Luke Kikukawa and Conan Kawano beat Tim Lee and Keoni Moore 6-0, 6-4.

Maui Prep dropped to 0-2.
