There is a lot of confusion among people now about how the new tiers of water rates are affecting families.
It was my understanding that these new rates would apply to individual families.
So now, what is happening if you have two separate families that feed on the same meter, i.e., a house and a cottage on the same meter? You are being treated as one and it throws you into the next tier of consumption and higher rates.
This is not a fair practice. There needs to be some method of separating the consumption of the two separate households.
I ask the water department to please remedy this situation and treat everyone fairly.
