Global Technology High School freshman Taona Fiederer-Sheppard (from left), sophomore Eli Sokolow and freshman Sheana Tanizaki tinker with the parachute jump tower at the school’s First Friday display in Wailuku. The new Montessori method school recently opened in Wailuku. Kamaaina Loan lent a collection of Erector sets and the students worked with their physics and architecture instructor, Emerson Timmins, to erect the 5-foot-tall parachute jump tower and other creations.
