Bears stay perfect, deal Spartans first loss

The Baldwin High School boys golf team had three players shoot under 40 and beat Seabury Hall 154-200 on Wednesday at the Dunes at Maui Lani in Kahului in a matchup of unbeaten Maui Interscholastic League teams.

Jameson Keiley had a 36 for the Bears (3-0), while Ariel Hansen and Justin Ohta each had rounds of 39. Tyler Munetake carded a 40. Matt Vanni's 39 and Nathaniel Indica's 41 did not count.

The Spartans (2-1) got a 43 from Aron Graziano. Reyn Stisher and Dawud Moragne each shot 48, and Max Hurd had a 61.

* LAHAINALUNA BOYS 153, MAUI HIGH 211: At Waiehu Municipal Golf Course, Malu Rosenthal and Rhett Wiseman each had rounds of 38 for Lahainaluna.

Kerek Franz and Jake Horton each shot 41 for the Lunas (3-0). Lucas Bell had a 45.

Maui High (0-3) was led by Zackary Taylor (41). Ian Bingham had a 52, Chase Baker a 53 and Marvyn Guillermo a 55. Ross Takemoto carded a 58.

* KAMEHAMEHA MAUI BOYS 191, KING KEKAULIKE 192: At Pukalani Country Club, Jacob Puu had a 40 and Lucas Park a 41 as Kamehameha Maui entered the win column with a one-shot victory.

Kainalu Steward (52) and Kalei Stanich (58) had the other scores for the Warriors (1-2).

Drake Onaga of King Kekaulike (0-3) had the low round of the match, a 38, Zane Jarrett added a 39, Branden Castro shot a 41 and Micha Hanawahine a 74.
