Keiki Regatta draws international field

FIRST PHOTO: Gordon Barff, the coach of Tahiti's Pomare IV Secondary School, talks with Perry Tinorua, who turned 13 on Friday, during Hawaiian Canoe Club's sixth annual Maui Invitational Keiki Regatta at Kahului Harbor. The event drew more than 200 participants, who also came from Maui, Oahu, Kauai and the French Polynesian island of Moorea.

THIRD PHOTO: Paddlers in a varsity mixed heat leave the starting line - the HCC team (second from rear) of Kamaile Lee, Maleko Lorenzo, Adam Ferrier, Mikaela McDaniel, Mogul Luuwai and Kaulu Luuwai won the half-mile race in 3 minutes, 58 seconds.
