Dusty Payne of Lahaina was eliminated from the Quiksilver Pro Gold Coast today with a 15.23-13.34 loss to 11-time Association of Surfing Professionals world champion Kelly Slater at Australia's Snapper Rocks.
Slater advanced to the fourth round in the opening event of this year's ASP world tour.
