Matt Cooper pitched a three-hitter as the University of Hawaii baseball team beat Gonzaga 2-0 on Tuesday for its first victory at Les Murakami Stadium this season.
Cooper (1-2) walked none and struck out three for the Rainbows (2-15), who lost their first 11 home games.
Cooper lowered his ERA to 1.95.
Stephen Ventimilia and Marc Flores both had RBI singles in the third inning for Hawaii, which has scored two or fewers runs in 11 games this season.
Billy Moon (0-1) two runs over 2 1/3 innings for the Bulldogs (9-5-1).
The Rainbows will next host a series against Wichita State from March 20-24.
