The University of Hawaii men's volleyball team won two of the first three sets before losing 25-14, 24-26, 23-25, 25-21, 15-13 to California Baptist on Saturday in Riverside, Calif., falling to 1-9 on the road this season.
Sinisa Zarkovic had 15 kills for UH (7-14, 6-12 Mountain Pacific Sports Federation), No. 10 in the American Volleyball Coaches Association rankings.
The 12th-ranked Lancers (10-11, 7-9) got 21 kills from Guilherme Koepp. Seabury Hall graduate Rocky DeLyon had six kills.
Hawaii will play Pacific on Friday at the Stan Sheriff Center in Honolulu
