The University of Hawaii women's basketball team received a spot in the Women's National Invitational Tournament on Monday, and will play on the road against San Diego in a first-round game Thursday.
The Rainbow Wahine are 17-13 this season. The Toreros are 21-9.
Second-round WNIT games are scheduled for Saturday through March 25. The third round is set for March 27-29, and the quarterfinals for March 30 and April 1. Semifinal games will be on April 3, and the championship is scheduled for three days later.
