Bears win third consecutive game

Sanae Nakoa pitched a three-hitter and had a bases-loaded triple as the Baldwin High School softball team defeated Kamehameha Maui 9-4 on Wednesday in a Maui Interscholastic League game at Eddie Tam Field in Makawao.

Nakoa finished 3-for-4 for the Bears (5-1), who scored six runs in the first inning on the way to winning a third consecutive game. Sky Ellazar had two hits, including a triple.

The Warriors fell to 2-4.
