Gas prices in Wailuku fell a penny from last week to $4.55 a gallon for regular unleaded, according to the AAA Hawaii Weekend Gas Watch released Thursday.
The Wailuku price was still 16 cents more than last month but 8 cents less than a year ago.
The state average for regular unleaded is $4.39 per gallon, which is unchanged from last week. The price was 11 cents more than last month but 10 cents less than a year ago.
Honolulu's average price was unchanged for two weeks at $4.31 a gallon, up 5 cents from last month but down 6 cents from a year ago. In Hilo, the average gas price was $4.35 per gallon, down 2 cents from last week, 4 cents more than last month and 30 cents less than this time last year.
AAA Hawaii Weekend Gas Watch is a weekly snapshot of gas prices. Prices are derived from fleet vehicle credit card transactions at more than 100,000 stations around the country and are the combined averages of the last card swipe of the previous day.
