The University of Hawaii women's basketball team's season came to an end after a 61-49 loss to host San Diego on Thursday in the first round of the Women's National Invitation tournament.
Amy Kame scored 19 points for the Toreros (22-9), who held a 41-27 rebounding edge.
Sydney Haydel had 11 points and six rebounds for the Rainbow Wahine (17-14). Molokai High graduate Kalei Adolpho started and had no points, two rebounds and two blocks in eight minutes.
Hawaii was making its first postseason appearance in 10 years.
