UH loses again at UC Irvine, falls to 7-20

For the second day in a row, the University of Hawaii baseball team was limited to three hits in a 4-1 loss at UC Irvine in a Big West Conference game.

Piikea Kitamura had two of the Rainbows' hits and the lone RBI, which came in the eighth inning with Hawaii trailing 4-0.

Corey MacDonald (3-3) allowed seven hits and four runs - three earned - for the?Rainbows (7-20, 2-3). He walked one and struck out five.

Matt Whitehouse (3-2) allowed two hits and struck out nine over 7 2/3 innings for the Anteaters (19-8, 2-3)

Race Parmenter pitched a perfect ninth for his sixth save.
