Northridge sweeps three-game series with Hawaii

The University of Hawaii baseball team was swept by Cal State Northridge, losing 10-5 on Sunday at Murakami Stadium.

Josh Goossen-Brown hit a three-run home run in the ninth inning and scored twice and Kyle Attl and Nate Ring also had two runs for the Matadors (22-17, 8-4 Big West).

Brandon Warner (1-0) picked up the win after allowing one run in two innings.

Stephen Ventimilia finished 3-for-5 with two RBIs for the Rainbows (8-27, 3-9).

Corey MacDonald (4-4)?allowed five earned runs over eight innings for Hawaii, which has lost 10 of its last 11.

The Rainbows were out-scored 23-10 in the three-game series.
