Titans send Rainbows to sixth shutout of season

The University of Hawaii baseball team lost for the 11th time in 13 games on Saturday, held to six hits in falling 5-0 to Cal State Fullerton at Murakami Stadium in Honolulu.

J.D. Davis went 5-for-5 for the Titans (37-5, 11-3 Big West), ranked fourth in the nation by Baseball America.

The Rainbows (9-28, 4-10) were shut out for the sixth time this season.

Justin Garza (9-0) went eight innings for the win.

Matt Cooper (2-6) allowed three runs - one earned - in three innings.

The teams have split the first two games of their series, which is to finish today.
