Molokai High School received the No. 4 seed in the Data House Division II State Championship bracket announced Sunday. The tournament is scheduled for Tuesday through Friday at Maui High's Patsy Mink Field in Kahului.
Molokai, the Maui Interscholastic League D-II champion, will play a quarterfinal game at 7 p.m. Wednesday against the winner of Tuesday's first-round game between St. Francis and Kaiser.
Hana will play at 7 p.m. Tuesday against Kohala, with the winner advancing to a quarterfinal game at 5 p.m. Wednesday against second-seeded Nanakuli.
The top seed went to Waimea, which defeated Nanakuli in last year's title game. Kamehameha Hawaii is seeded third.
This year's championship game is scheduled for 6 p.m. on Friday.
All but two previous state softball tournaments have taken place on Oahu, including every event since War Memorial Complex hosted play in 1981.
