Coconuts Fish Cafe in Kihei has been included in CNN's list of "Top 10 Places to Eat Like a Local." The list includes restaurants from around the country, complied by CNN and Travel and Leisure Magazine.
The CNN list was published on March 8 and features a picture of Coconuts' signature food, submitted by Terrance Mullins, a CNN iReporter and Coconuts' customer. Coconuts is the only Hawaii restaurant to make the list. Owner Mike Phillips opened the doors at Coconuts Fish Cafe in Azeka Center on South Kihei Road four years ago, a news release from the restaurant said.

BAMBOO-PRODUCTS. Cariloha, which sells bamboo-based products including clothing, bedding and bath goods, opened last month in Lahaina.
Located at 824 Front St., the 800-square-foot store is corporately owned and will share space with its sister brand, Del Sol, which specializes in clothing and accessories that change colors with sunlight, a news release from the company said.
The Cariloha Lahaina store will be staffed and managed by local employees and corporately hired interns, who typically work in the store for three to six months, according to a news release.
LOOKING FOR A RELATIONSHIP? The online Maui Matchmaker, owned by Makawao's Debbie Dehm, has opened. In a news release, she said that she uses "personal interviews and my intuition" to match clients.

GREEN BUSINESS. The Westin Ka'anapali Ocean Resort Villas was one of four hotels, two restaurants, a fire station and a bike shop honored with a 2013 Hawaii Green Business Award.
The annual awards recognize achievements by Hawaii businesses and entities in the area of energy efficiency. The awards were presented by Gov. Neil Abercrombie at a recent ceremony hosted by the state Department of Business, Economic Development and Tourism, Department of Health and The Chamber of Commerce of Hawaii.
The Westin Ka'anapali Ocean Resort Villas, a first-time winner, was lauded for implementing sustainable initiatives within the resort by transforming its behaviors to consume less, elevate its care for the environment and reach its "30/20 by 2020" goals, a news release from the state Department of Business, Economic Development & Tourism said. The 30/20 energy goals are to reduce energy consumption by 30 percent and water use by 20 percent by 2020.
NEW RE/MAX. Barry Lee Brown and Carol A. Brown are the new broker/owners of the Lahaina-based RE/MAX Island Properties.
Both have been with RE/MAX for more than a decade. Barry Brown moved to Maui in 1986 and was affiliated with Maui Realty before opening Barry Brown Realty two years later. He joined RE/MAX Maui in 1999.
"The success we've had with RE/MAX helped us make the decision to open our own office," said a news release from the new company.
