Four people escaped serious injury when a car overturned in a collision with a motorcycle early Tuesday on South Kihei Road.
The crash, reported at 4:09 a.m., awakened residents at the nearby Menehune Shores complex, said resident James Walsh.
"It woke up everybody for two blocks," he said. "It was a big deal."
A car flipped over after a collision with a motorcycle at about 4 a.m. Tuesday fronting 760 S. Kihei Road. There were no major injuries.

He said two women and a man crawled out through the windows of the car, which landed upside down on its roof. The motorcycle operator ran after the bike hit an 18-inch-high rock wall and went over the top, ending up off the road against a tree, Walsh said.
He alerted police after seeing the motorcyclist carrying a backpack and groaning as he ran near the Menehune Shores pool.
Police confirmed that the motorcyclist fled after the collision and was located near the pool at the complex. Additional information wasn't available from police Tuesday afternoon.
The occupants of the car as well as the motorcyclist were treated by medics at the scene, Walsh said.
"It was amazing that there were not fatalities," he said.
Along with Kihei police officers and medics, firefighters responded to the crash.
Walsh said other nearby residents also showed up to see what was going on.
"It disrupted the road traffic for about an hour," Walsh said. "There's still debris out there on the road."
