The Lahainaluna softball team dropped its first-round game at the DataHouse Division I State Championship as Leilehua rallied in the seventh for a 6-5 victory on Tuesday at Rainbow Wahine Softball Stadium.
The Lunas (12-4) scored two runs in the top of the seventh to take a 5-3 lead, but the Mules (10-7) came back with three in the bottom half to pull out the victory.
Lahainaluna's Kuulani Haake homered and drove in three runs and Haley Ann Nakamura went 2-for-4 with two runs. Hope Morikawa pitched 6 1/3 innings, allowing seven hits and six runs, only two of which were earned.
Leilehua's Jazmyn Dangaran and Chenoa Au both scored twice, and Taezha Ann Cordero pitched a four-hitter with 10 strikeouts and hit a solo homer.
Both teams committed four errors.
The Lunas will play in a consolation game today at 11 a.m. against Kapolei, which lost 7-4 to Moanalua on Tuesday.

No. 1 Kamehameha Kapalama, No. 2 Campbell and No. 4 Hilo also will open play today.
In the other first-round game Tuesday, Mililani beat Keaau 15-0 in five innings.
