The University of Hawaii baseball team beat UC Davis 6-2 on Saturday at Murakami Stadium in Honolulu, and can earn its first series sweep of the year today in its home finale.
Austin Wobrock was 2-for-4 with a run and three RBIs and Kalei Hanawahine went 2-for-4 with three runs for the Rainbows (14-33, 9-14 Big?West), who scored two runs in the seventh inning and three in the eighth. Adam Hurley drove in two runs.
Corey MacDonald (7-5) allowed two runs on seven hits over 7 1/3 innings for UH. He struck out five batters and walked none.
Lawrence Chew pitched the final 1 2/3 innings for his third save of the season.
Spencer Henderson and Cameron Olson drove in runs for UC Davis (19-33, 5-18).
Spencer Koopmans (1-8) allowed seven hits and three runs over 6 1/3 innings for the Aggies. He walked one and struck out one.
The Rainbows took Friday's series opener 5-2.
The teams will meet again today at 1:05 p.m. It will be the final home game for seniors MacDonald, Connor Little, Piikea Kitamura, Jon Flinn, Max Duval, Patrick O'Rourke, Jim MacWilliam and Kris Butler.
The Rainbows will conclude their season with a three-game series at UC Riverside starting Thursday.
