Businesses partner to offer wedding and event service
Maui Catering Services is expanding its business to provide wedding and event planning, the company announced.
The Paia-based catering company, which has been operating for more than 10 years, has partnered with Hang Ten Weddings and Kaimana Estate to offer guests a one-stop shop for weddings and events. In addition to their catering services, the business will offer affordable all-inclusive wedding and event packages.
"Many of our clients have busy lives and lack the time needed to plan their ideal destination wedding," owner and executive chef Tiffany Ward said. "We . . . now provide affordable, customized weddings in a 'one-stop shopping' experience with our Hawaiian hospitality and professional wedding and event services."
Ward has more than 10 years of experience working with wedding planners and venues across Maui and other Hawaiian Islands, catering food focused on fresh, local and sustainable products. She also has appeared on the Food Network's "Extreme Chef."
Wedding or event packages may be customized upon request.

KHON: Deal reached with Oceanic Time Warner cable
HONOLULU - Hawaii television station KHON-TV says it has reached a deal with Oceanic Time Warner cable to continue to be carried to subscribers in the state.
KHON said on its website Friday that the "fair resolution" will allow the TV station to continue providing news and other local programming.
KHON General Manager Kristina Lockwood says she does not have details of the deal.
KHON is owned by Lin TV Corp., which operates or services 43 TV stations in 23 markets. A spokeswoman for the Providence, R.I.-based company declined comment on the specifics of the deal.
The station ran ads in the days leading up to the deadline for the deal, saying it was in danger of being cut from the cable lineup.
KHON is Hawaii's Fox station.
