HONOLULU (AP) - Honolulu police said they've arrested a man in connection with the death of a visitor from Oregon.

The Honolulu Police Department said the 38-year-old suspect was being held on suspicion of murder in the death of Ivanice "Ivy" Harris.

KHON reported that the man was taken into custody at 10:15 a.m. Wednesday.

Honolulu Crimestoppers spokeswoman Sgt. Kim Buffett said detectives had been working around the clock on the case.

There was no telephone number listed for the suspect in Hawaii. It was unclear whether he has an attorney.

Harris was last seen outside a Waikiki bar May 16. Her body was later found on the leeward coast of Oahu.

Harris came to Hawaii from Portland with some friends to celebrate her 29th birthday.
