Na Koa Ikaika Maui fell behind early and couldn't recover in a 10-5 loss to the Hawaii Stars in a Pacific Association game on Thursday at Maehara Stadium in Wailuku.
The Stars (4-11) scored three runs in each of the first two innings and added one in the third for a 7-1 lead.
Katsuaki Fukuki went 2-for-4 with a homer and five RBIs for Hawaii and Dane Sardinha went 3-for-5 with three RBIs.
Brandon Gregorich went 3-for-4 with two runs for Na Koa (4-11), and Waylen Sing Chow was 3-for-5.
Matt Stropoli (1-1) allowed five runs over six innings for the victory. Andrew Preimesberger pitched three scoreless innings for his first save.
Maui's Eri Yoshida (0-2) permitted seven runs in two innings. Chris Waters gave up three runs over the final seven innings.
