Wai'ola Church will hold its 190th commemorative celebration Sept. 13 to 15 in Lahaina.
Events will begin on Sept. 13 with a church grounds clean up at the Malama'aina Cemetery and Royal Tomb from 9 to 11 a.m. From 4 to 8 p.m. in conjunction with the Lahaina Second Friday event, there will be entertainment, food, crafts and other events along Front Street and Campbell Park.
At noon Sept. 14, there will be the opening with an oli (chant) and pule (prayer) at the Royal Tomb.
A lecture series will begin at 12:45 p.m. and last through 4:30 p.m. with breaks in between.
A music workshop will be held from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. A luau dinner and entertainment will follow from 6 to 8 p.m.
Performing will be kumu hula Alexa Vaught and Corey Kukahiko. On Sept. 15, a worship service will be held at 9 a.m., with a 10:15 a.m. potluck luncheon.
