Maui Economic Opportunity's Head Start continues to accept applications for the 2013-14 school year.
Head Start is a federal program that provides early-childhood development services to families that meet the federal poverty guidelines and selection criteria.
Children who turned 3 or 4 years old by July 31 are eligible for enrollment. Parents/legal guardians will be required to bring the child's birth certificate and two forms of household income. (Examples include: 2012 W-2 forms or 2012 tax returns, and four to six current pay stubs or a Temporary Assistance for Needy Families printout.)
Applications need to be completed in the MEO Family Center office between 7:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, except on all federal and state holidays). The office is at 99 Mahalani St. in Wailuku.
