Hearings are being held throughout Maui County on Oceanic Time Warner Cable's application to renew its franchise for the county for the next 20 years.
The state Department of Commerce and Consumer Affairs is holding the following series of hearings:
* Tuesday, 2:30 p.m., Kaunakakai Gym Conference Room, 180 Ala Malama Ave.
* Wednesday, 4:30 p.m., Lanai High and Elementary School, 555 Fraser Ave.
* Oct. 22, 4:30 p.m., West Maui Senior Center, 788 Pauoa St.
* Nov. 6, 5:30 p.m., Maui Waena Intermediate School, 795 Onehee Ave., Kahului.
Written comments will be accepted until 4:30 p.m. Nov. 15. Comments may be submitted to the Cable Television Administrator by email at email@example.com, by fax at (808) 586-2625 or by regular mail to Cable Television Division, Department of Commerce and Consumer Affairs, P.O. Box 541, Honolulu 96809.
Copies of the application are available for review during normal business hours at Oceanic Time Warner Cable (Central Maui), 158 Maa St., and Oceanic Time Warner Cable (Lahaina), 910 Honoapiilani Highway, Suite 6.
