VIP team scrimmages with fire department

October 16, 2013
The Maui News
Nathan Ley of Very Important Players (right) and Willie Barut of the Maui Fire Department go after a ball as VIP’s Kyle Moniz (far left) and Warren Puldera look on during a scrimmage Sunday at Kahului Community Center. The VIP program, part of the American Youth Soccer Organization’s Central Region 601, is for players with disabilities that prevent them from being on a mainstream team. For more information, email Sheldene Hozaki at skhozaki@gmail.com or Daisha-Ann Kamalo at daishaann03@gmail.com, or go to aysocm.wix.com/ayso601.
