October 24, 2013
The Maui News

(First Photo) Maui police Sgt. Reid Pursley asks Wailea residents Monty and Marilyn Robertson to step outside the cones surrounding a Mokulele Airlines plane parked along Kilohana Drive on Wednesday morning. The pilots of the plane made an emergency landing on nearby Piilani Highway on Monday night after experiencing engine trouble on a flight from Kahului Airport to Kamuela, on the Big Island, Federal Aviation Administration officials said. The eight passengers and two pilots were uninjured. Company officials have not responded to emails and phone calls seeking comment and an update on the removal of the plane.
